Flying in?
Are you coming from out of state, across the country, or even out of the country to attend the Masters Golf Tournament? If so, you will need to plan your method of travel accordingly. Luckily, Augusta is close to many excellent airports that can get you to your rental home for an incredible week of golf.
Augusta Regional Airport (AGS)
The hometown airport for the Augusta National, Augusta Regional Airport is located just 7 miles south of the city. It is often convenient for visitors flying in from Charlotte and Atlanta since most of the flights will likely not be non-stop.
If that does not deter you, this airport will be the best option for you as it offers you the shortest travel time from the airport to your rental home. While it is small, AGS is continually growing, adding non-stop flights every year.
Atlanta’s Hartfield-Jackson International Airport (ATL)
A popular alternative to Augusta Regional Airport is flying into Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson international Airport. One of the largest airports in the southeast, ATL is also one of the busiest in the world. Complete with shopping and dining experiences, ATL doubles as a destination for many.
Flying into ATL for the Masters Golf Tournament is common for patrons, and the commute to Augusta is easy. Simply rent a car and drive the brisk two and a half hours to your rental home in Augusta.
Columbia Metropolitan Airport (CAE)
With Columbia, South Carolina only being a little over an hour away from Augusta, Columbia Metropolitan Airport is a great airport to fly into on your way to the Masters Golf Tournament. CAE boasts eight non-stop destinations to make your flight plan a simple one if you are flying from Charlotte, Dallas, Philadelphia, Washington D.C., Atlanta, New York, Chicago, or Miami.
Similarly to ATL, your drive from Columbia to Augusta will be easy as 1, 2, 3. Just rent a vehicle and drive west on I-20 for a little over an hour and your cozy rental home will be waiting for you in Augusta.
Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport (GSP)

Luckily, there’s an international airport conveniently located just a short trip away from the Augusta National. Augusta is only a little over two hours away from Greenville, South Carolina, home to Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport (GSP).
Seven airlines serve GSP, including American Airlines, Delta Airlines, and Southwest Airlines. GSP has 20 non-stop destinations and over 200 one stop destinations all over the world.
